Description and Reviews
Key Take-Aways:
The Viltrox MF 20mm T2.0 Cine is a manual-focus full-frame cine prime for L-Mount with geared focus and aperture rings. Viltrox lists 12 elements in 9 groups, 14 aperture blades, a T2.0 to T16 aperture range, a 0.25 m minimum focus distance and a 94 degree angle of view on full frame; it weighs 808 g, is 100.9 mm long and 80 mm across at the front, and costs $499 in Viltrox’s US store. As of Oct 2026, few reviews have been written and four videos are linked. Richard Wong finds the all-metal build very sturdy, the focus ring buttery smooth and the lens heavy at about 800 g, against about 350 g for the Lumix 20-60mm; he notes some focus breathing, and that the 82 mm filter thread can only be used with the round hood, which is also the only hood the front cap fits. TECH HD calls the build very nice and the focus and aperture rings smooth, finds the lens pretty sharp, and says it renders less bokeh than his Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 and Lumix 24-70mm f/2.8, but calls it really nice for the price. PhotoJoseph finds it bright and sharp, with almost no distortion at the edges and a smooth, well-working gear system, and recommends it as a good buy. Damian Brown, on a Lumix S5, finds centre sharpness very good wide open with soft corners until about f/5.6, fairly accurate but slightly muted colour, some distortion towards the edges, focus breathing, and vignetting until about f/8, and calls it a very worthy buy at about 490 (he names no currency) as there is no real alternative for L-Mount.
From Viltrox:
The lens consists of 12 elements in 9 groups, including 1 AA(Adavanced Aspheric) lens and 4ED(Extra-low dispersion) lenses which effectively suppress chromatic aberration. With T2.0 light transmission, it achieve excellent resolution from the center to the edge.

Water-Resistant and Anti-Fouling Front Lens
Specifications are from the product information on Viltrox’s page for the L-Mount lens. The diameter is Viltrox’s front diameter of 80 mm; Viltrox publishes no other diameter. The length is 100.9 mm rounded to 101 mm. The 82 mm filter size is Viltrox’s M82x0.75 thread. The angle of view is Viltrox’s 94 degree full-frame figure. Viltrox publishes no maximum magnification, so that field is empty. Weather sealing is not entered: Viltrox lists only a water-resistant and anti-fouling front lens, which is a coating, not sealing. The price is the regular price in Viltrox’s US store, with no crossed-out price. The product image is Viltrox’s first picture on the page.
