Key Take-Aways:

The Sirui Venus 150mm T2.9 Anamorphic is a manual-focus full-frame anamorphic cine telephoto prime, the longest lens of Sirui's Venus line. In L-Mount it weighs 1,385 g without lens cap, is 178 mm long and 88 mm across at the widest, with an 82 mm filter thread, a 0.58 m minimum focus distance, 16 aperture blades and a T2.9 to T16 aperture range; Sirui makes no weather sealing claim. Sirui's US store lists the single lens in L-Mount at a regular, crossed-out price of $1,499, with a sale price of $499 beside it. As of Oct 2026, few reviews have been written and three videos are linked. Steven Divish, comparing the lens on a full-frame camera with a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and a phone anamorphic lens, finds the full-frame setup clear but huge, and too heavy to film handheld without a tripod or monopod. Matt Spade puts it side by side with the 100mm in real-world footage and calls both lenses amazing, each with its own style. MACRO MARVIN is absolutely impressed with telephoto anamorphics, wanted the extra compression and reach, finds the lens heavy but handheld shooting easier than expected thanks to in-body stabilization, and calls it a winner for him.

From Sirui:

> Besides 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm lenses, SIRUI is introducing another telephoto lens, the 150mm T2.9 1.6x, to further complement their 1.6x Venus full-frame anamorphic lineup.
>
> This lens matches well with the 1.6x lineup in terms of color tone, lens flare style, gear position, etc., and together they make a versatile set that can be used to tell a complete cinematic story.
>
> The extra reach allows you to frame the subject properly without having to stand very close to it.
>
> This lens performs well optically with high sharpness and low distortion. Equivalent to a 94mm horizontally, it is considered a great choice for portraits, emotion expression, still life, distant subjects, etc.
>
> The 150mm has a shallower depth of field, smoother blurred backgrounds and more elongated oval bokeh than the other lenses, which separates the subject from background.
>
> Breaking through the limitation of other anamorphic lenses, this 150mm lens, with the minimum focus distance of 0.58m, is suitable for close-ups.

Specifications are from the image spec table on Sirui's page for the Venus lenses, which has one column per focal length and gives weight and length per mount; the 150mm column and the L-Mount figures are used (lens cap not included). Sirui publishes one set of figures for all mounts for the other values; diameter is the 88 mm focus ring, and the 0.383 maximum magnification is the vertical 1:2.61 figure (the table also gives 1:4.16 horizontal). Sirui's page gives no diagonal angle of view, so the field is left out. The price is the regular, crossed-out price of the L-Mount selection, which the page showed as sold out when it was read. The product image is Sirui's picture of the 150mm lens, with the mount not specified. Matt Spade's video covers the 100mm and the 150mm; only the 150mm is credited here.
