Key Take-Aways:

The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art is a large-aperture wide-angle prime that offers f/1.2 brightness in a lighter 755g body compared to its predecessor.
Professional reviews note excellent sharpness, smooth bokeh, and strong low-light capability, with trade-offs including its still substantial size, high price, and some vignetting at wide apertures. As of Sep 14 2025, early user impressions are positive, emphasizing the improved portability while retaining the rendering quality that made the original popular.

From Sigma:

> * Unrivaled descriptive power, with clear rendering from F1.2, and large, beautiful bokeh
> * Significantly reduced size and weight
> * Designed and engineered for professional use
