Description and Reviews

Key Take-Aways:

The Sigma 300–600mm f/4 DG OS Sports is a pro ultra-telephoto zoom for L-Mount with a constant f/4 aperture, internal zoom, HLA-driven AF, optical stabilization (around 5.5 stops claimed), a 40.5 mm drop-in filter slot, weather sealing, and a ~4 kg build. Professional reviews report superb sharpness across the range and strong value versus 600mm f/4 primes, with trade-offs including very heavy weight, non-parfocal zooming, a modest quality dip wide-open at f/4, and susceptibility to flare/ghosting if the hood isn’t used. As of Sep 14 2025, user discussions are broadly positive about image quality, stabilization and versatility, while recurrent concerns center on weight/handholding and practical handling; L-Mount users also highlight teleconverter compatibility as a plus.
