Key Take-Aways:

The Sigma 135mm f/1.4 DG Art is the first autofocus lens at this focal length and aperture, offering extreme subject isolation and large bokeh in a substantial 1420g body. Professional reviews praise its excellent sharpness, beautiful background blur, and strong autofocus performance, while noting its heavy size, large 105mm filters, and high price as trade-offs. As of Sep 14 2025, early user sentiment is highly positive, with many photographers impressed by its rendering for portraits and creative work, though some highlight the weight as a limiting factor for handheld use.
