Key Take-Aways:

The SG-image MF 50mm f/1.8 is a manual-focus full-frame 50mm prime with a "shaped aperture" that, according to the maker, turns out-of-focus lights into shapes such as hearts, stars or diamonds. The maker's spec image lists a variable-shape aperture with a fixed aperture ring, a single aperture blade, a 44 degree field of view, a 0.5 m minimum focus distance, a 1:7.7 maximum magnification, a 58 mm filter thread, a metal barrel, 7 elements in 5 groups, an approximate weight of 311 g and a size of 69 mm across by 48 mm long. SG-image sells it for $192 in the L-mount selection. As of Oct 2026, one video and no written reviews are linked. The video is in Korean, from the channel 카메라설명해주는남자!; its title, which YouTube translates as "A lens with stunning bokeh!", and its hashtags centre on the bokeh, and there is not enough coverage linked here to say more about how the lens performs.

From SG-image:

> This MF 50mm f/1.8 full-frame lens is a unique creative tool that takes the classic "nifty fifty" and adds an artistic twist. At its core, it's a versatile prime lens with a fast f/1.8 aperture, making it ideal for low-light photography and creating a beautiful, soft background blur.

> However, its standout feature is the special "shaped aperture" that transforms out-of-focus lights into unique shapes like hearts, stars, or diamonds. This gives photographers the power to create one-of-a-kind images, blending the classic look of a 50mm lens with a distinct, magical, and creative bokeh effect.

SG-image publishes one set of figures for all mounts (E, X, Z, M43, EOS-M, R and L), so the figures above are that single set; the price is $192 for every mount. The maker gives the weight as "Approx. 311g" and the field of view as 44 degrees, and lists one aperture blade. The 1:7.7 magnification is entered as 0.13.
