A compact and lightweight super-wide-angle zoom lens jointly developed by LK Samyang and Schneider-Kreuznach. Designed for astrophotography, travel, and everyday use, it offers a broad 114.2° angle of view at 14mm.
The optical construction comprises 15 elements in 11 groups, including three aspherical, five high-refractive, and three ED elements. A quiet linear STM motor drives fast and silent autofocus, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.18m delivering a maximum magnification of 0.26x at 24mm.
Despite its ultra-wide reach and constant f/2.8 aperture, the lens weighs just 441g and accepts standard 77mm screw-in filters — still rare in this category.
