Description and Reviews

Key Take-Aways:

The Meike FF Prime Cine Lens 50mm T2.1 is a manual-focus full-frame cine prime with a T2.1 maximum aperture, 11 iris blades, an 82 mm filter thread, a 60 cm minimum focus distance and a 46 degree diagonal field of view on full frame. Meike sells it for $998 in the L-mount selection. As of Oct 2026, six videos and no written reviews are linked. Jason Morris says in his description that it is by far one of the best lenses he has tested, finds the price astounding and likes the large focus throw. Joe Brennan titles his review “The Best Affordable Full Frame Cine Lens?”, says he bought the lens himself with all opinions his own, and covers build, six months of use, a comparison with Zeiss and lens flares. Spenser Sakurai reviews it within a set of the 24, 35, 50 and 85 mm lenses, Humcrush Productions tests it in the 24, 50 and 85 mm review and again in a later test of the 16 to 135 mm line, and Tao Hudson reviews the 35, 50 and 85 mm, saying he has no affiliation with Meike.

Meike publishes the dimensions (ร˜89.6 mm ร— 136.5 mm) for Sony E mount but not for L-mount, so the length of 137 mm is the Sony E figure; the diameter of 89.6 mm is the same for PL, EF, RF and Sony E. Meike publishes the weight as a range of 1099 to 1172 g without naming a mount; the 1099 g in the frontmatter is the lower end of that range.
