Key Take-Aways:

The Lensbaby Twist 28 is a manual-focus 28mm f/3.5 Petzval-inspired lens with swirling blur, an 8 inch (20.3 cm) minimum focus distance and a weight of 140 g; it has no front filter thread and costs $190. As of Oct 2026 few reviews have been written: one written review and no videos are linked. Amateur Photographer's Angela Nicholson praises the distinctive swirl, the tiny lightweight pancake design and the wide view, and criticises the manual-only focus, the central sharp area that restricts composition and the missing filter thread.

From Lensbaby:

> A Petzval-inspired wide-angle lens built for movement, depth, and exploration. Classic swirling character. A modern 28mm perspective. Designed for images that move, breathe, and feel alive.

> The Lensbaby Twist 28 takes the iconic swirling bokeh and vintage character of the original Twist 60 and reimagines it for the modern mirrorless creator.

> Weighing just 140g, Twist 28 is compact, lightweight, and built for daily carry—ideal for mirrorless systems and manual focus shooting.

Lensbaby publishes no spec table for this lens, so the minimum focus distance, weight and filter-thread facts come from its page text. Lensbaby publishes no length or diameter; the figures (73 mm diameter, 38.5 mm length rounded to 39 mm) come from PRONEWS and Wex Photo Video, which agree, and both give them for the Sony E version. The L Mount selection is $189.95. Lensbaby's FAQ lists Canon RF, Fuji X, Nikon Z, Sony E and Micro Four Thirds, while its mount selector also offers L Mount.
