Key Take-Aways:

The Laowa FFII TS 35mm f/2.8 C-Dreamer Macro 0.5X, sold in English as the Laowa 35mm f/2.8 Zero-D Tilt-Shift 0.5x Macro, is a manual-focus full-frame 35mm with ±10° of tilt, ±12mm of shift (±8mm on medium format), 0.5x magnification and a 22.8 cm minimum focusing distance. It costs $1,249 in every mount; Laowa warns that the L-Mount version does not fit some Panasonic Lumix bodies (S5II, S5IIX, S1II, S1RII, S1IIE). As of Oct 2026, two written reviews and two videos are linked. Digital Camera World, testing an early sample on a Sony A7 III, calls it a beautifully engineered optical instrument at a terrific price and finds the optics show no obvious drop-off at the extremes of the movements, with only some flare when shooting wide open into bright light with a lot of tilt; it faults the awkward controls, a vertical shift that drops under the lens's own weight, the puzzling mounting, the size and weight, and that it is only a 0.5x macro. Keith Cooper's Northlight review, on a Fujifilm GFX100S with a loan lens, praises the optics, solid build and value for medium format, and says he would happily use it for professional work, but finds the shift and tilt movements a little too free, with no detent for zero tilt, and notes that fully manual operation may discourage some. Camera Conspiracies calls it a giant but glorious lens in a video tested on a Nikon Z6 III with architecture and slow-motion street video, and Keith Cooper's video review looks at it on both full frame and Fujifilm GFX medium format.
