Description and Reviews

Key Take-Aways:

The AstrHori MF 120mm f/2.8 is a manual-focus full-frame 2x macro telephoto with a 21-degree angle of view, 930 g weight and a $369 price. Matthew Richards of Digital Camera World (Sep 2024) rates it four stars each for features, design, performance and value. He praises the 2:1 magnification, solid all-metal construction and generous working distance, but finds mid-aperture sharpness disappointing and medium-distance focusing tricky, and says it suits macro work better than general shooting. Seven videos are linked: Micael Widell’s title praises its working distance and low price, Phil Thach notes the longer focal length gives better working distance, and Christopher Frost calls it fun but says it does not quite focus to infinity. As of Oct 2026, one written review is linked.
